		<description>I believe the move into social media for recruiting purposes is a necessary one. You can better engage a potential employee in a setting where they are comfortable and where they are given the opportunity to interact and display their personality.</description>

Job boards and recruitment agencies account for billions in revenue and they have nothing to gain and all to lose by encouraging a web2 approach.

I certainly would agree with what you have said.  I would add that unless things have changed radically in most companies since I was running around the corporate world, in general, people are not rewarded for risk taking.

One result of this is that change (in this case recruiting)is more often driven from the outside in rather than the inside out.</description>
