I agree Albert. Whatever your product/service is, be it a job or otherwise, its in your best interest to get people talking about it online. The longer a company waits to get in the game the more catch up they'll have to do. It's almost as if the corporate web site doesn't matter anymore since it has only one perspective. People are talking about you everywhere else.

In the previous comment it should say, This in turn will reward those companies that listen to the market and quickly incorporate those comments into new products/services.

Meaning listening to the comments of customers and prospects thereby producing products they want and less about producing products targeted to some internal, meaningless revenue forcast.

Thanks for the comment, Barger was a great interview. Now the interesting thing about your focus on this blog is how social media will factor into product/service improvement?

Some theorize that social media will reduce the importance of "promotion" marketing and increase the importance of market comments about products and services. This in turn will reward those companies that listen to the marketing and quickly incorporate those comments into new products/services.

All the best,
