Use LinkedIn to create an alumni group

October 9, 2008 · Leave a Comment

One of the easiest and free ways to utilize LinkedIn for recruiting is an alumni group for your company. Here’s a great example of one: the Modem Media Alumni Group.

If your company doesnt have one yet have one of your recruiters set up a group. Then actively promote it among your current employees and word will quickly spread to others. You can then use the group to ask for referrals, keep track of ‘boomerangs’ and link back to your career site.

LinkedIn is offering more and more ways for companies to promote themselves, an alumni group is a simple cost-effective way to do just that.

To setup your group click the ‘create a grouptab after clicking the ‘group’ link from the main navigation.
